Yikes: There's Venn Diagram Overlap Between Me & Sinwar!
Let's Get Real About How Israel Treats Prisoners
I know it’s hard to believe, but it’s true: I share Venn diagram overlap with Yahya Sinwar.
In case you’ve been living under a rock or in a brainwashed delusional fantasy inspired by the pro-Hamas mob, Sinwar was one evil dude. He was the leader of Hamas and one of the masterminds behind the October 7th massacre.
Recently eliminated by the IDF, you can read Biden’s full response here. Short on time? No worries. I’ve pulled a quote from Biden’s glowing review of the guy:
As the leader of the terrorist group Hamas, Sinwar was responsible for the deaths of thousands of Israelis, Palestinians, Americans, and citizens from over 30 countries. He was the mastermind of the October 7th massacres, rapes, and kidnappings. It was on his orders that Hamas terrorists invaded Israel to intentionally – and with unspeakable savagery – kill and massacre civilians, a Holocaust survivor, children in front of their parents, and parents in front of their children.
Would you want to share mutual space with Sinwar? I don’t, but facts are facts:
Yep. Sinwar and I are both survivors of brain surgery. He had a tumor too. I’m compelled to point this out because I constantly hear propaganda against Israel. So many false accusations that demonize the Jewish state.
Before anyone starts in with me again, let’s revisit Sinwar’s prison sentence in Israel. In 2011, Sinwar won his freedom back when Israel swapped an unprecedented number of terrorist prisoners in exchange for one single Jewish hostage—Gilad Shalit.
Prior to this, Sinwar’s life was saved—by Israel!—during his imprisonment. Sinwar had developed a brain tumor, one the Israelis both diagnosed and treated with surgery.
These details are important to remember and cite whenever somebody falsely accuses Israel of inhumanity.
Israel provided life-saving surgery to a prisoner, and not just any prisoner, but one responsible for countless deaths. In contrast, innocent hostages are still being held captive in Gaza. We already know that hostages in Gaza are receiving the very opposite of life-saving care! They’ve been executed. They’ve been sexually assaulted. They are hungry.
Unless you have a brain tumor of your own, you should be able to immediately recognize the difference between Israel’s regard for life versus Hamas’s barbarism. Even in the immediate hours following the October 7th massacre, Israeli hospitals were providing medical care for the wounded terrorists. The very same people who’d killed and raped and burned people alive.
Let me leave you on this disturbing detail: Dr. Bitton, the Israeli doctor who helped save Sinwar from the brain tumor, suffered one of the worst twists of fate in this story. Dr. Bitton’s very own nephew was killed in the October 7th massacre.
Imagine that?
This column was utterly fantastic.
